Basic Science made Applied Science-Lizard Tail to Robotics

As we all know, the lizards with an actively controlled tail can leap successfully even when they slip and stumble. For the first time,Scientists proved that lizards swing their tail up or down to counteract the rotation of their body and keeping them stable. They also found that swinging the tail upward is the key to send them head-over-heels into a tree. With the known basic, the scientists discovered subsequently added a tail to a robotic car named "Tailbot".

From my opinion, this discovery proves that knowledgeable Basic Science comes in to Applied Science.
